So, seeing as there'd be no fair way to tell who is idling simply because they left the game open, or is running the game in the background because of various legit reasons, such as the game being an idle game, then. If you ever played idle games, you'd know that there are some games that are almost designed to be run in the background. Clicker Heroes, for example, is a game that you can leave running at all times in the background because it's a good idle game. Also, there are a lot of idle games out there, too. You have to leave the game running non stop for 40 hours in order to get the achievement. You can't exit the game, pause it, or even alt + tab it. Not to show off, but, just because they plan to resume when they get back.īesides, this one game, Lucius, has a Steam game achievement where you idle in the game for 40 hours. Likewise, I also know people who often fall asleep with their games running or go to work with their games running. I know people who have hundreds of trading cards and have yet to use a single one. It encourages people to play games and to level up and craft badges from trading cards, but, I think that it's mostly for entertainment purposes and is an optional thing to participate in. Things like trading cards, profile showcases, and all that fluffy stuff is just to entertain the users.
